Terms of Service
Last updated 8 October 2026
These terms cover your use of Bookaata: the web dashboard, the Bookaata Business mobile app and the public booking pages. By creating an account, or by booking through a Bookaata page, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Bookaata.
1. What Bookaata does
Bookaata lets a business publish a booking page, take bookings, collect deposits directly from customers and manage its schedule. Bookaata is a tool for the business. The appointment, the service and the payment are agreements between the business and its customer.
2. Accounts
A business owner creates the account and is responsible for it, for any staff they add, and for everything done under it. Keep your password secure and tell us straight away if you think someone else has access. The information you give us must be accurate.
3. Free trial and subscription
- New businesses get a 30-day free trial. No card is needed to start.
- After the trial, a subscription is needed to keep the booking page and dashboard active: GHS 40 a month or GHS 400 a year, paid through Paystack by MoMo, card or bank.
- Businesses outside Ghana subscribe by arrangement with our team on +233 54 554 3359.
- Paying early adds the new period to the end of your current one, so you don't lose days.
- If a subscription ends or isn't paid, the booking page stops taking new bookings until it is renewed. Subscription payments are not refunded for unused time, except where the law requires it.
- We may change prices. We will tell you before a change affects your next payment.
4. Deposits and payments between businesses and customers
Customers pay deposits directly to the business, using the payment methods the business shows (such as Mobile Money, bank transfer or cash). Bookaata does not receive, hold or refund these payments and is not a party to them.
The business reviews each payment proof and decides whether to confirm or reject the booking. Refunds, cancellations, rescheduling and disputes over deposits are between the business and the customer, under the business's own policies. Businesses should state those policies in the Terms field of their booking page.
5. Booking as a customer
- Enter accurate details so the business can reach you.
- A slot is held for a limited time while you send the deposit and upload proof. If the time runs out, the slot is released.
- Your booking is only confirmed when the business confirms your payment. You will get an SMS, and an email if you gave one.
- Upload only genuine payment proof. Submitting a fake or altered receipt may be fraud.
6. Messages we send
Bookaata sends booking messages by SMS, email and push notification on the business's behalf: confirmations, payment reminders, cancellations and appointment reminders. Businesses can switch appointment reminders off in Settings. Businesses must not use Bookaata to send marketing messages customers haven't agreed to receive.
7. Acceptable use
Don't use Bookaata to break the law, mislead customers, collect payment for services you won't provide, upload content you have no right to use, or try to disrupt, copy or reverse-engineer the service. We may suspend or close accounts that do, and we may remove content that breaks these terms.
8. Your content
You keep ownership of what you upload: your logo, photos, service descriptions and terms. You give us permission to store and display it as needed to run your booking page and the service.
9. Availability and liability
We work to keep Bookaata running and accurate, but we provide it as it is and can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. Messages depend on SMS, email and network providers and may occasionally be delayed or fail. To the extent the law allows, Bookaata is not liable for lost bookings, lost income or disputes between businesses and customers, and our total liability to a business is limited to the subscription fees it paid us in the previous 12 months.
10. Ending your account
You can delete your account from Settings at any time. Deleting a staff account removes that login only. Deleting the owner's account also suspends the business and its booking page. Past booking and payment records are kept as described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and tell businesses about important changes; continuing to use Bookaata after that means you accept them. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana.
